Co:worx led by local volunteers, is an excellent example of social innovators fostering economic growth and digital change in their community. We focus on community but we also measure our environmental and economic impact.
Learning & development
Access to education and community development has been a cornerstone of co:worx's mission. We are TUS Learning Gate and participate in ‘Learning in the Hubs’ a strategic partnership between Connected Hubs and the Technology University of the Shannon (TUS). The pilot initiative is targeted at adult learners.
Our community is our greatest strength
We provide a welcoming atmosphere and offer flexible spaces to best meet our clients’ needs as they grow. We are more than just a serviced office space, we work together to support each other and make opportunities happen, making co:worx a place where amazing ideas can grow and reach their full potential.
Supporting Remote
We have collaborated with Grow Remote to run the first in person “Remote Work Ready” course. We regularly host our local Grow Remote Chapter for events which are a great way for individuals & communities to connect with others socially , create employment locally, and build an awareness of remote working opportunities.
Environmental Impact
Co:worx has had a significant Environmental impact through the repurposing and transformation of a derelict bank building on the Main St into co:worx digital hub. We strive to reduce environmental impact through the establishment of environmental baseline figures
Community First
Embracing its role as a catalyst for community and cultural enrichment, co:worx has actively promoted creativity through initiatives like the Connected hubs 'Art in The Hubs' Initiative and by participating in the annual Maria Edgeworth Festival, by hosting an Annual Midland Art Exhibition and poetry readings.
Economic Growth
Co:worx is a catalyst for economic growth as it fosters collaboration among local entrepreneurs, attracting remote workers to Edgeworthstown / Longford, injecting vitality into the local economy through increased spending and new job creation.
