Our Journey

Edgeworthstown Enterprise Hub clg

 

Aiming to contribute with the advancement of both the economic and social development of Edgeworthstown and surrounding areas, a new voluntary committee Edgeworthstown Enterprise Hub clg, was formed to repurpose this fine heritage building. The co:worx digital hub project was born

Digital Town Awards

Using digital to transform the community co:worx, a digital working hub was created. Its aim is to be a transformative, sustainable initiative enabling the growth of the region’s economy, including remote working, fostering collaboration and reskilling projects.

The co:worx project recognised as a National winner in the prestigious European Enterprise Promotion Awards 2022 in Category 6 - Responsible and Inclusive Entrepreneurship.

A significant milestone was representing Ireland and securing the runner-up position in the European Enterprise Promotion Awards held in Prague in November 2022.

Meet our team
Aideen Brennan
Co:worx Business Manager

With over 3 decades of dedicated experience in the Irish Retail Industry, my career has pivoted to Business Development Manager here at co:worx, I enjoy extending the co:worx welcome to all clients and visitors. Having cultivated invaluable expertise in strategic planning, operational management, people development and building strong relationships, a focus on customer centric service and mindset has been instrumental in shaping our vision for co:worx. With a Masters Degree in Business Innovation and Leadership from Atlantic Technological University, I am a keen advocate of Action Learning Sets and dedicated to using this knowledge together with my extensive business acumen to support our current and future community. Outside of her career Aideen likes to travel and read, whilst also enjoying life with her family along the banks of the River Shannon in Tarmonbarry.

Bernie Lynch
Customer Support 

With over 20 years of experience in administration and supervisory roles, Bernie has what it takes to keep co:worx running smoothly. As our Customer Support Specialist, she supports all day to day admin activities as well as being our hosting superstar. When she’s not crossing the T’s and dotting the I’s at the hub, you’ll find her having a great time making her garden look beautiful.

Guntars Lielmezs
Facilities 

Guntars, originally from Latvia , has made Edgeworthstown his home having lived in Ireland since 2000. His attention to detail maintaining the facilities in co:worx is second to none. complimented by all who visit or work here, keeping and exceeding the standard of cleanliness of our much loved hub. Sharing tips on travel and the best sights to see from his adventures keeps the conversation flowing over coffee with all who visit us.

Networks and Connections

Co:worx has been designed to ensure our individual office units,co-working spaces, meeting rooms ,event space and media podcast suite meet your needs to collaborate with others and flexible to allow the space for creativity or lone working.

Location and Accessibility

We are conveniently located in Edgeworthstown at the crossroads of the N4 and the N55. Only 90 minutes from Dublin airport, with direct rail links to Dublin and Sligo, co:worx is the ideal destination for remote working, relocation and connection between east and west.

Design and Layout

Our space embraces openness, respects privacy, fosters collaboration, ensures flexibility is open ,clean and bright with plenty of natural sunlight and we grip nature.

Community and Networking Focus

We partner with Atlantic Technological University of the Shannon to deliver on site and virtual training programmes.

We hold quarterly business clinics for our clients and businesses in the locality with Longford LEO.

As part of the Grow Remote Network we hold monthly meet ups for remote and hybrid workers.

Our Wednesday Walkers

On Wednesdays at 1pm we gather for a lunchtime walk , followed by a cup of coffee and a chat in our communal area.

Celebrate

At co:worx we love to celebrate and in April 2024 we celebrated our 2nd anniversary, the countdown is on to April 2025 for our 3rd anniversary.

The importance of networking and interacting with others is inherent in co:worx. One of our biggest strengths is the community that co:worx facilitates; we organise opportunities to meet, mingle and make useful connections. Our adaptable, flexible space allows you to do this with your peers as the dynamic of working in creative environment couples with the freedom of remote working.

The co:worx project was supported and assisted by Longford Local Community Development Committee, Longford Community Resources CLG and Longford County Council through the Rural Development Programme (LEADER) 2014-2020, which is partially financed by the EU, “The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe investing in rural area”. The Department of Rural & Community Development, Town and Village funding, Enterprise Ireland’s Regional Enterprise Development Fund, Built Heritage Investment Scheme, and the Connected Hubs fund.
